About us

Studio Babin d.o.o. specializes in architectural design and investment management. The core of our team consists of Šime Babin, architect and company director, and Vesna Skala, B.A. in economics.

We offer investors comprehensive know-how – from the conceptual design for a building permit and all accompanying main projects to the interior design.

The projects we deliver are copyrighted works, which is why we prefer to monitor the construction through copyright supervision, and in some cases we also accept the management of the complete investment in cooperation with our proven partners – construction companies. We operate throughout the Adriatic coast, with a special focus on the Istrian region.

Part of our activity is also focused on the sale of real estate with high investment potential, primarily those intended for tourism. We are currently highlighting two exceptional plots of land right on the sea, intended for tourist facilities with a view of the Brijuni archipelago:

  • Dragonera (near Fažana) – 4.3 ha in the construction zone
  • Manerini (in Fažana) – 2.8 ha in the construction zone

We are at your disposal for the development of the Dragonera and Manerini projects – with experience, expertise and good networking in the local community.

Šime Babin, architect and creative force of the Studio, is recognized for his strong and authentic design style. He has received several professional awards, including the European Property Award in London for the best architectural achievement in individual construction – the Zara villa in Zadar, as well as the professional award for the design and construction of the villa complex in Vodnjan.

His partner Vesna Skala, a graduate economist, has been successfully managing the areas of management, promotion and administration for many years.

Architecture and design with a Mediterranean sensibility is what most closely defines us; we have many years of experience and respectable knowledge in that area. We are particularly interested in sustainable and humane construction that affirms communication against the increasingly widespread alienation that accompanies us in all spheres of life, from the alienation of man to man, as well as man to nature and space as such.
